These rods are much easier and more fun to cast than their predecessor the original "Boost Salt" which was overly stiff and lacked the ability to flex for a 30' cast which is entirely necessary when fish pop-up at close range. This new "blue" series is actually fun to cast! It has enough flex to blind cast for Striped Bass all day, but still enough power to push into the wind at 60' with a Clouser or Crab. At this price it's a difficult rod to beat.
