What is the best time of the year to fish in the Florida panhandle?

That’s like asking what is the best college football game to watch… we have so much to choose from here!

Snapper season is very popular and in 2022 it ran from June 17-31 for recreational fishing and the following dates in the fall:

Oct. 8-9 (Sat. & Sun)
Oct. 15-16 (Sat. & Sun)
Oct. 22-23 (Sat. & Sun)
Nov. 11-13 (Fri. Sat. & Sun - Veterans Day weekend)
Nov. 25-27 (Fri., Sat. & Sun - Thanksgiving weekend)

We usually have a great cobia run in May & June and we see some tarpon May though August.

Redfish, speckled trout and flounder can be caught year round.

I’m coming down with my family and don’t have a boat. What can I do to enjoy fishing while I’m there?
